Help! How do I take thid search barr off IE?

if adAware does not pick it up, then chances are it would be listed under add/remove applications as a legidimate app. if not, then you could try Spyware S&D, but it can remove stuff you want if not careful

I tried ad-ware and spybot search and destroy but it dint' work. So I did a system restore and that did the trick. I had to do download some software and programs again but better that having that blue bar in IE.

i got that also, a program called 'shampoo' got rid of it for me in case it happens to you again. fucker of a thing that toolbar

couldnt you just do this:
view/toolbars/ and then uncheck it?

I dont think it is a virus cos it appears everytime you install msn plus!
And it is so hard to get off that it is not listes under the add/remove applications. And spybot S&D didn't work either. If you get it and have XP yopu can just do a system restore and that will fix it.

You can try right-clicking on the IE toolbar and see if you can uncheck it (like the other tool bars) to make it go away. To delete, try Spybot Search and Destroy or AdAware...
