My client has this nasty logo some foo made in pShop, now they need a scaleable version and foo is in S.E.Aisa checking out the opium dens. So now I have to make a goddamn bevel and drop shadow in illustrator. DS ok but bevel? Here's my attempt with gradient meshing, can anyone give me some pointers on how to tidy it up a bit?
Thanks

use clipping mask, when you are working with gradient mesh. and keep the mesh clean.

Definately smooth those curves out so you don't get that buckled look - and add some more points to lighten the inside of the curve.
I also find it easier to use a spot color so you have the 0-100 percent slider.
