When there is more than a small streak of blood or you are not sure the blood came from your mouth or nose, a visit to a health professional is needed.
A moderate to large amount of blood in vomit indicates bleeding in the digestive tract (gastrointestinal tract [GI tract]), usually from the esophagus, stomach, or upper part of the small intestine (duodenum).
Digestive tract bleeding can be caused by inflammation, peptic ulcer disease, gastritis, or tears in the esophagus. If bleeding is severe, the vomit will be mostly blood or material that looks like coffee grounds (partially digested blood).

yeah, i think it was damage from heaving so hard. there was about a quarter cup i guess, and it was beautiful, all thick and swirling in the water.
vomiting is about the most unpleasant thing i can think of. except maybe vomiting maggots.

you might have vomitted so hard that you perforated your esophogus. You should go to the emergency room. Half a cup is serious business. I hope it's not as serious as that.
Hope you're feeling better - but don't leave it.

you might have an ulcer. you should check into getting student health insurance. depending if you are at a university, and its offered. my school offered it cheap. good luck and dont go unchecked too long.

damn. university i went to was pretty small but we had a free clinic there for students.
someone had a good point in saying that the US has free clinics everywhere. look thru the phonebook. they are good shit for folks who spent all their dough on drugs and school.

I get weak when I see blood, especially my own. that's why I am not in medicine.
Doesn't your school have a doctor's office? You can come to canada as a refugee, you'll be treated like royalty!

it's weird to think there's blood in my stomach and my body is digesting it like food.
digesting... itself.

i would too if i were in the uk or something and there was healthcare for free.
unfortunately students in america just have to die or something without insurance.
- tomkat0
you seem like one of those persons to faint in an emrgency, piper..
scarabin: stay cool. go see a doctor, TOMORROW.
- piperboytoy0
If that happened to me, I would cry for half an hour and then call the 911 to get an ambulance pick up.
- scarabin0
