hello!
I have a bunch of info in an xml document, in one of the nodes I'm putting a lot of information but when I open the document up again, that node's data is cropped, is there a limit of info you can put on them? any ideas how can I get around this?thanks!

probably you're using html tags within the nodes [you'll have to contain the node with CCDATA tags] or using special characters [I would advise you encoding your XML as utf-8].
you should always check your XML in a browser to see if there's any errors.

thanks unfit, I have no html tags, but even so already tried CCDATA and didn't solve it. and I'm encoding utf-8 as well... and is not cutting the text on a special character or anything... is very weird

test in a browser then. [the XML file only].

still crops it when I preview on the browser... it's really bugging me... no worries guys, I guess I'll have to break the info in more than one node or feed that section off another file, not optimum but just I can't work it out
if someone figures it out, it'd be interesting to learn the cause anyway!
thanks

I solved the problem, i though you might like to find out in case it happens to you.
Dreamweaver was trimming the xml data on that node alone, when i tried doing it on a simple text editor it worked fine! duh! so much head scratching for such a small thing. bloody DW!

some things that cause errors in browsers will run fine in flash because the problem is sometimes down to the xsl formatting

mirola's right.
ie. explorer will give me an error page when displaying a certain XML file, but not Mozilla or Firefox.
And flash has no problem reading that same file.
