Im trying to go on a snowboarding vacation this summer cause i hate the heat. I think this is possible in South America, maybe Chile or Argentina. Anyone ever been or know anything about it.

I would've thought the snow would be long gone. A friend from Montreal told me even the Laurentians dry up by May. You from out there, what are the conditions like?

dunno about other places in south america, but i was in huancayo, peru in august and had to cross one of the highest points in the andes to get there. not a flake in sight.

I went to Chile and rode mainly at valle nevado about 8 years ago. Got to do some heli runs there as well it's well worth the $$$
We went during August and got good snow.
The City of Santiago was pretty fun too.

Ok, I'm Chilean...so
Go to Santiago....and go up to La Parva, Valle Nevado, o El Colorado....there all 30 minites in a car, from Santiago. Nows the time....Untill Saptember...October at the latest.....If U want something more exotic and natural....go to Bariloche...in southern Argentina.......Good Luck

Thanks for the advice. i was looking at New Zealand too, but the airfare is too expensive to go there. It looks like Chile is the best bet. I'd read something about Valle Nevado, that's why I was thinking SA.

Hey if you got the cash go to S.A.
I went to Mt. Hood a few years back in mid-june, they never close. It's sunny, hot, t-shirt style, so maybe not your style.
