i have these Sony MDR-something earphones that sound pretty good, compared to the apple ones that come with iPod. they make bass pretty good, i didn't know earphones could have bass but i guess it does.
they come in a stupid case that only holds the earphone part and not the wire. but it was only $30

i got the ones tparsons has and i like them a lot. good fit and sturdy. the price is reasonable as well.

Techincs makes really nice headphones. Most DJ's swear by sony's though (V-series I think). I've got a pair of Stanton's that I really like, but they make me look like I have a robot head when I spin.

i personally would steer clear of technics. they sound good, but they are pretty flimsy. a friend of mine went through three pairs of them (about the $150 range) in like 9 months. that's too much money for me.

yeh i picked up a pair of those sony's that fold up... mdr something. they sound great for 150-ish price range. but compared to some higher quality headphones the mid's are lost in the sony's. also the head band digs into your head (causing headaches) after awhile. but atleast you look good in pain. :P
i stand by my purchase.

I've been rocking these for a year now:

I leave a pair of the Sony's at home because they start hurting my ears when I wear glasses. These are extremely light and comfortable, the sound is pretty good but not amazing.
