so lets say you are in england for example... do your keyboards have the pound symbol instead of the dollar symbol above the number 4?
sorry for the dumb question but i need to know.
- dstlb0
No.
3 = £
4 = $

where is your # symbol then?
- winter0
you get £ by pressing Alt Gr
- dippy0
So that's why they call it the pound sign!

i wish canada had a different currency than 'dollars', like others ie euros, bhat, pesos...
hmmm, like quacks?
-'hey, how much were those shoes?'
-'200 quacks yo'
-'damn, you quacking it man, you quacking it'

Alt-3 = #

on a uk keyboard the £ is shift+3, the # is under the ~ which is next to enter, and where the ~ is on a us keyboard (next to 1) is ¬ instead of ~ and instead of @ being shift+2, shift+2 is " and where " normally is, it's the @ symbol.
clear?

i'm talking about a PC UK keyboard, not a mac
- dippy0
In the US, for some weird reason, the # sign is called the "pound sign."
 = £ ?
- dippy0
