I know i should have used Illustartor but hell i don't have it so i made my resume and exported from PS.... and this shit is 4 MB . Why is it so big?
- JazX0
somewhere in your export settings is pushing that thing updwards. What's in the resume? grafiks?
- rasko40
you wanna run that shit through distiller.

ok i got it to around 1 mb. but it still seems high. there is nothing but text (one font).

correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a photoshop PDF keep the highest possible resolution? Sometimes up to 1200dpi?

If you have Acrobat Pro you can select: "Reduce File Size" and it slims down by a lot. If not.. who knows. Its raster bro.

no man, i can zoom in as much as possible in Adobe Reader and the text is all crisp. Still why the hell is the size so huge?
- BR5-490
in acrobat pro you can use "PDF optimizer". sometimes reduces size to 25%, depending on content

dudes, nothing but PS here.

not too many options for you, you're trying to have photoshop do something it wasn't intended to.

the text isn't vector when you make the pdf, so it one huge raster image.
- TenaciousG0
The simple answer is that PS is not a text editor. You just PDF'd one HUGE picture!

sorry man
- mrdobolina0
copy and paste the text into illustrator and tweak it, it may save the formatting, although I am not sure.

In your export settings for distiller select 'ebook'.
I've lost count of the number of people seeking employment who have sent un-announced 2mb and up pdf's - they get binned on arrival.

that's some big ass text

Just do it in word dude!
If you don't have any professional software, you couldn't possibly be applying for a design job. WORD is the standard format for everything else.

ah time to hit Kazaa for Illustartor.
