Recently went for an interview for some freelance work, I met with 3 people a finished Art manager, a creative director and a HR recuiting type person. When they saw my work they thought I was a bit above the finished art freelance role I was being interviewed for and they told me I would be more suited in a creative development role, a full time position that may be opening soon.
I'm just not exactly sure what a creative development role would entail, can anyone who knows what it is fill me in?

Art Director designer type person where you creatively oversee projects and possibly manage other designers and help direct their work..I guess.

Yeah, I imagine you'd work with the creative director and help firm up intial creative before it goes to designers/art directors and then manage it from that point, maybe some research as well.

But beware. AD /CD positions (in some organizations) can lead to a life of endless meetings and proposal writing. Make sure any position doesn't box you out of actually doing the work. I made that mistake and finally woke up two years later and took a lesser title just to keep designing.

yep, what zombie said, I personally want to stay a senior designer for at least another 5 - 10 years.

yeah, good point guys, I wouldn't want that, I'd definatly prefer being hands on alot more.
