alright folks, i am in the process of the most annoying thing in the world, i've scanned about 30 images and needless to say the quality is SHIT! what is the best way to get them looking half decent, in your expert experience.
i know that if you scan shit pics, you'll get shit results but for some reason clients don't want to hear that.
help?

photoshop?.... ?

sharpen, play with curves?
- Gorbie0
oh no.
shit in... shit out.time consuming color correction. especially for 30 photos! i can't tell without seeing what you're dealing with... but many times is seems bad photos are over saturated, are way dark in the mid-tone area, and are too contrasting.
try to adjust using curves or levels and keep track of how you arrived at the result.
lather, rinse, repeat.

auto-levels is a good start
then play with your curves, levels, color balance, brightness/contrast..and bust out the unsharpen mask... and you can play with your burn/dodge & sharpen/blur tools if need be as well.
but yeah... good luck
