(nov 19 04, 23:11)not much, I have friends who work at their New York office and by the sounds of it is sounds like the biggest pile of crud. Not the best place in the world to work at........

save, interesting point. i started this thread because they offered me a job in NY office. i havent gone interview yet, and like many others i never recognize what they did.
are they really that bad?

I've freelanced for them a couple of times. Overall they are really conservative in my humble opinion.

I have no idea what their work is because that site is so awful I couldn't look at it for more than1 minute. I wanted to punch my monitor.
I was probably familiar with their works back in 1996 in my Advertising 101 class...

They're such a huge international entity with so many designers and so many art directors, I wouldn't say they have a definite style - changes so much with each project. I know someone that worked there once and they seem like a smooth operation (as smooth as advertising can be).
I'd call them an Advertising Agency more than a design agency.

old client of mine had one of their designers doing his website on the side...UGLY

i am not a big fan of ad agencies but having exposure to international brands is def plus experience. also, money is much better then any other design agencies if that's important to you. if i were you, i'd do if for a year or two, make your $, learn from them, then move on.
