Heh, I just kinda stumbled upon the Sofa Surfers. Not sure if it's really all that new. But it freakin' rawks.
Oh and of notable mention should be DJ Krush's new album "Naga" I believe is the title. There's a great track he did with Aesop Rock and I believe there's one on there with Mr. Lif and some other cool guys.

I bought many records in 2004 but many of them get out before 2004... Good music become rare I think... 2004 is not a good year for new stuff, for me. So this my best albums of 2004:
Slipknot - Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses
Pixies - complete discography
Donni Darko - Soundtrack
Memento - Soundtrack
Metric - complete discography
Boards of Canada - complete discography
I hope 2005 will be better... I can't wait for the next TOOL

1. K-os - Joyful Rebellion
2. Sage Francis - A Healthy Distrust
3. RJD2 - Since We Last Spoke
4. Mos Def - The New Danger
5. Talib Kweli - Beautiful Struggle

I like the RJD2 also.
I don't think compilations should count. Neither should re-re-releases. Nothing against Pavement. I love them to death.
