I've got a flash project thats just too involved take on.
Its an existing project built by someone else, and they want me to come work on it after 1-2 prior development, i dont need the headaches.
How do I politely tell the client - thanks but no thanks.

Just be upfront.
Tell them you are commited to a project at the moment and cannot take on teh extra workload

They want a local in Melbourne?
Anyone?Requires extensive AS knowledge and some design skills to re-skin the current app.

ok, this may be a bit of a longshot, but..
write them an email:
"hello! i am really really happy that you offer me this great great chance!! My dog, who is suffering cancer in his right toe can finally see a vet, and i also hope this project can be a great excuse to keep the IRS out the door this time!! You see i am trying to get back into society now, apart from my persistent case of herpes i am actually struggling to become a normal citizen again after i was released from jail 7 months ago. You see I got this image problem as I was jailed for playing a little too much with them sweet eight year olds and also for sort of earning money that was not really meant for me (looong story). My brother wrote me this letter from his rehabilitation center that it'd be wise for me to do something creative to release my negative waves of energy. So i bought this book at k-mart about flash and i have learned quite a bit from it till today (i am on page 17 now!). So in short, i'd be most happy to take this challenging opportunity to create something bleeding-edge for you, and i will go beyond all measures to make this a most memorable website for everyone!!!
yours sincerely,
