Technically it could be done, it would just look crap.
Shaft, that doesn't help. Stop talking.

so you want to display the text at an angle, so then produce the pixel fonts as a PNG in PS and export out with transparent BG.

Saying something is out of date is so out of date.
Seriously though, most of the design trends we have seen for so long are just hitting main stream. i.e. paint drip vectors, vector animals & leaves, rough PS brushes, concentric circles...
All that stuff is all over MTV, Comedy Central, and everywhere. Hell, tiled backgrounds are making a comeback. It just depends how you display the material.

Normally fonts have a slighly blurry edge to make them look nice on paper, makes them look smooth. However, on the screen this isn't very legible when small on a screen. It's all blurry. A pixel font is afont made specially for the screen that looks sharp.
A basic description. For instance, what're you're reading right now is made of sharp pixels, no blurring.

Nice, thanks Blofeldt - Now I get it!

I wouldn't say fonts have a blurry edge to make them clearer... a pixel should be confused with postscript

Look for:
iso 08_65
iso 08_66
italic 08_55
italic 08_56
italic 08_65
italic 08_66Good luck!

goingpublic, they are italic, it wouldn't make a difference if he used regular or italic fonts at a 45 degree angle, it would still look balls.

By asking for the
impossible we obtain the possible....(in most cases).
- JazX0
