i live in a firetrap of lacie bigdrive 500gbs daisy-chained all over the damned desk. it's been great for working with video.
sometimes i experience anxiety, though, because i have seen a lacie or two kick the bucket in my day.

I have a few d2's, plus the Mobile...it's really nice for moving stuff quickly between different computers, and as extension to the Powerbook to take our complete archives with me when travelling...just the drive and a short cable.

external SATA 150 MB/s
Internally hdds don't reach 100MB/s, as I remember. So with ATA 100, 133, 150 you're still at the same speed, unless it's coming from cache ram memory. Correct me if my information is outdated.

designed by porsche
uuu, very fancy! :P

they have this mobile one as well, designed by porsche or something, which runs the power of the computer so you don't need to carry all the cables etc. a bit more expensive. but very small.
