My dad has it. He loves it. The only sucky part is they don't have a Reno prefix, so he actually has a Las Vegas phone number. But i'm sure that's not the case with every town.

IT SUCKS...... whenever I install it even underneath the network when the thing goes hunting for an IP which is pretty darn often to be annoying..... the whole internet goes out and I have to unplug and let it just go to vmail...I am sure there is probably some sort of fix or firmware or something but I am just too busy to try and fix it....if anyone calls I just fwd it to my cell or it goes to vmail and I get an email

i have it and am quite pleased. my phone bill's reduced by 50% and we actually call a lot more due to the free long distance, etc.
occasionally we experience lower quality on calls, but not enough for it to bother me.
we were able to keep the number we had for a landline, but that was a bit of a hassle. it all worked out, but it was a pain in the ass transfering the number.

Skype...works great, but you have to buy credits to connect to mobiles or landlines.

absolutely the best phone service available. vonage has been good to me. no problems whatsoever.
and their soft phone rules. I've got it on my laptop and wherever there is an internet connection I can send/receive calls. sweet.

There was a recent study that informs users about them not being able to automatically locate someone when a 911 call is made. The government hasnt set any requirements on them yet so their not required to provide this service. But theres a message you hear when you call it.
Vonage seems to be the only company trying to fix it. Still trying to locate the study...
