250 bucks ain't much. Try this yet?

oh yeah, and if you're a designer, don't buy a flat panel for $250. You can get a decent CRT for that price, and it won't give you color calibration nightmares.

i use flat panels for design, not problems with color calibration here.
CRTs are teh devil and give you headaches
- dippy0
so do i, Donvito. I should've said that the viewing angles are teh suck™, not the color calib. =)
Wish I could afford a better flat panel, but I'm gonna need more than 250 clams.

have you tried ebay? I picked up a 2 year old 19" Sony Flatscreen CRT for AUD$69.

flat panels will never have the dot pitch of a standard monitor as a designer this should matter to you. If you truly need the desk space, pull it away from the wall and let it hang over

if you're designing for screen lcd is fine.

i care about color, but as a designer, my eyes are more valuable than perfect color calibration.
I refuse to work on anything else than a flat panel.
