Okay, i've been using CRT monitors FOREVER. I'm so used to them I never even thought about buying a LCD, until....
Girlfriend just got me a new desk and when I put my old clunky monitor on it I just couldn't take it. I imediately went to best buy and got a 19" LCD. BEST FREAKING THING EVER!!!! I have a desktop with room on it. I don't know how I lived before.
-sorry for the rant,

is the dot pitch worth it? don't try to tell me your lcd looks as good as a crt because it can't

what's w/ all the LCD dissin'? sure, it is maybe not QUITE the same, but the color is still sweet, lines are crisp, and they are a ton smaller.
I guess CRT snobs can have their heavy-ass clunkers if they want 'em
I love LCD. I'll never buy a screen that isn't flat again. TV or monitor. They rule

Oh, I know my old sony trinitron CRT is better but to tell the truth I think the LCD can do all the stuff I need it to do. Also it's for my home where I'll only be doing small freelance stuff anyway.

get a monitor extension cable and throw the old one in the closet. If you need to check color plug it in.

well the new LCD dot pitch is 0.294 but of course I have no idea what my old monitor was. lol

clone has been going on and on about lcd's being shitty for 3 days. If you can work on one without your work suffering, do it.

you sure bash the LCDs hard core man. A bit too much I think.
If you get get a decent LCD, Apple Cinema or some of the Sonys.. they are amazing. I have 2 LaCIE Blue 22 inch CRT trinitrons, and I would rather much have the Apple Cinima display.
Much better picture, way better on the eyes and headaches, and the color is great.
