I have a Holga. I'm new at the whole thing, so i'm still getting my bearings straight. I signed up at a couple of lomo forums (mainly for help), but found all but two people to be pretty elitest

jevad, what kind of film do you use for yours?
My gf has one and our pics didn't come out so well in San Fran earlier this year. I thought maybe we should have used slide film?

hey jevad, is that the kompakt?

Yeah, some lomographers are snobs but there are some cool people too. I also have an LCA (like Jevad's pic) and it's my most precious possession. If you cross process some slide film with the LCA, you'll get some crazy imagery.
Here's my favorite photographer right now:

i would sell-trade this one...

Lomo Kompakt Automat Camera LC-A
Buy slide film - 100 ISO.
Tell your developer to cross-process the film:

jevad, Got any suggestions for film for a Holga? I've had like 2 rolls developed so far and the negs are coming out green. The photolab can't print from them. when i scan them, i can get some of the actual color to be visible. what am i doing wrong?

The action samplers take some sweet photos. I'd liek one of those new ones with the vertical instead of horizontal.
They're cheap and fun, plus they do pretty well with 35mm film, 100 speed or 200.
I also just got a Holga and haven't developed any yet. I'll let you know
- jevad0
Are you developing them yourself mayo?
- mayo0
no. i read on one of the forums that one guy is getting cooler results by taking them to the cheapest developers in his town. So i took mine to WalMart (besides, until i got decent at it, i thought it would be more cost efficient). Should i try a better place before bugging you?
- jevad0
oh my fucking lord
*please* don't!
your nearest independent camera/developer pls!
- mayo0
please don't...? go to WalMart?
Okay, i'll go somewhere else. any suggestions on film? I can email you a sample of how a few negs turned out, too, if you're bored.

Mayo, try some Fujichrome 64 Tungsten Type II slide film for the Holga.
