crate train, yes. when you take your dog out to do his thing, make sure you praise him everytime he does it outside like he just sh!t gold. sounds ridiculous but I had to do that with my dog and it worked. Be consistent too.

maybe the dog is alpha male...sometimes they do that to show who's the boss.
of course, you need to show him that you're the boss.
crate training.

sounds like crate training is the verdict, but why after 2 months of no problems going outside he decided one day to start inside again.
kona, why do you do it maybe my dog has the same problem.

"but why after 2 months of no problems going outside he decided one day to start inside again."
that's where my alpha male theory comes in..when you got the dog, it was still a puppy. but dogs mature pretty quickly, and the dog grew up, thinking he's the head of the household.

is it a full on leak he's taking or just a small spurt here and there?
- mrdobolina0
put bleach on his wenis next time he does it.
- contia10
gabriel it is a full on puddle of piss.
grafholic, you may be right because I really haven't had to punish him for anything since i've had him, he never did anything wrong, till now.
- gabriel20
if it's a full puddle he's probably not marking territory or anything, just be patient, might've just forgotten to go earlier or something. One of my dogs went 8 months without any problems, then one day just up and went in the middle of the living room, go figure...

gabriel, it eventually stopped, i assume. I hope so, it stumps me and pisses me off.

(Feb 9 05, 15:19)Actually, this is very true. They are Pack animals, and without a dominate alpha male in the pack/family, (including yourself) they will 'elect' themselves to be the one. That is exactly why crate training, or even doggie training works so well. They need to know who's in charge.

it could also be that your dog's stressed out.
when i had a boyfriend and was gone to his place frequently, my cats started pissing in the *luckily* bathroom.
since i broke up and spending more time at home, they're pretty chill.

thanks all, i hope i can show that little fucker who's boss!
- toe_knee0
if he does it while you are there he is showing his dominace over you. I think maybe you spoil him. The best advice to give a dog owner is be a leader, not the boss.
You are his little bitch.

also you dont have to punish a dog to be the boss, its just the small things, like when you come back from a walk, make him sit while you open the door, you go throught the door first and make him wait his turn. Also, never feed him before you eat. Eat in front of him and if he begs growl at him and make him sit and wait. When you finish then feed him. Also, if he is asleep on the floor and is in your way, dont walk around him, give him a nudge and make him move. Its the little things that dogs understand that you are the leader
