I'm just going to chime in here real quick to say that i just moved out of my parents house. the times, they are a changin'!
(i'm 20, so you can decide whether or not that makes me pathetic...)
- spiff0
man, i feel ya, things are really changing after my loss of controll, and loss of my head in my car
- dippy0
You shouldn't worry about whether or not people think you're pathetic.
Congrats on moving out, though. Now you get to find out what you're really made of.
- spiff0
i dont see how thats pathetic at all btw... once you hit 30, then it gets rediculous. but im sure theres always exceptions
- Point50
You're good to go. Being 20 and moving out isn't that pathetic. I left at 18, came back at 24, then finally got out again at 26. Actually wish I was still there. Fuck bills.
And spiff, everything's going to be OK. Seriously.

well, i just said that because i told one guy who said "20? man, i was out when i was 18!"
If moving out means i'll find out what i'm made of, then i guess i'm made of confusion. I've been doing a relay back and forth between the grocery store, getting all the stuff i forgot i need. Salt, dish soap, granola...you know, the essentials.

I moved out when I was 18. Some tips:
Keep your place clean. I know it sounds so basic, but it makes a big difference in your sanity and social life.
Make sure that you have something living with you in your new place, and by that I don't mean roaches. I mean a plant, herb garden, goldfish, whatever.

i moved out at 16 and that makes me the biggest man here.
kidding.
but 20 aint pathetic.. i knew a guy who moved out at 26, and i was his first roomate.. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I HAD TO BASICALLY HOUSE TRAIN THE FUCKER! AND HE WAS MY BOSS! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!
- QuincyArcher0
nick, dude, i know a guy like that. he's 26 right now, and wanted to move out with me. but i'm not wiping his ass for him, so i said no.
his mom still makes him a paper bag lunch to take to work with him everyday.
- lifeinbinary0
i could use a mom like that
- designerror0
you just worry about that logo binary. ;)
i was 18 when i split to go to school out of town.. liked doing things my way, but never enjoyed being away from my mama's cooking thou..
- lifeinbinary0
the "bigger logo" is just a metaphor. i have much bigger fish to fry.
how's that pacman game treating you?
- spiralstarez0
pathetic. Nah.
I left home (Canada) first when 21 to England, but moved back in when 24 (support my poor ass while finishing school)
and didn't move out until 25. That's pathetic. but cheap for student :-)
My only advice is once you move out, NEVER move back in. Hard.

i moved out for school but once i graduated i came back home to save cash. but, i stay at my girlfriends place and slept on my friends' floors enough that i basically dont consider myself living at home.
however, when i did live away from home i had one roommate who was a coke head, another who stalked all my girlfriend's friends, and one that was so tapped on crack that he lost it. so, living without a roommate is nice these days...
also, make sure you know your new roomate, i learned that one the hard way...
- designerror0
it's fucking awesome .... can't stop playing..
need to figure out how to change games on that thing.. have this game for it too

my first room mate asked me if he could my desk from time to time and in exchange he would let me use his steam iron.
i don't know why but i've always found that funny. in a sad way.
- QuincyArcher0
well, i'm by myself. I decided that i didn't need any roommate drama. plus, i can hang all the http://www.despair.com posters i want, with no one to complain!
the build is pretty nice. no roaches, mold, etc. and the landlord assured me that there was absolutely no lead paint...

I'm pathetic as hell. I'm 25 and still livin with the folks. I lived by school during college but moved back home after to save $. It helps to save up for a house and other big purchases ya know. I work about an hr commute from work, but the sacrifice = saving money while i can. I'll probably be out in a yr or two tho. But I help out around the house so it makes me feel like I'm doing my part. Its different for everyone.

jimeeboy, move out!! what the hell are you doin?
'saving money for a house' whilst burning what little youth you have left.
:p
