i cant seem to get my itunes to connect to my ipod. i have just recently got a new computer, therefor had to reinstall itunes. now when i connect my ipod, it wont recognize. ive checked apple.com for help, but the page that i need doesnt work.
i figure i have to 'reformat' my ipod and then reload all my music back into my ipod?
any help would be great! thanks!

i have a pc.

Yup, you might have to reformat your ipod. I've experienced these problems atleast twice already. Sometimes my ipod shows up on My Computer and Itunes doesnt recognize it.
First, try using your Firewire instead of your USB or vice versa. If that doesnt work, try the update. If all else fails, reformat.

Quick, quick beforeyou murder yourself in five days due to insane frustration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO BUY A FIREWIRE CARD.
DON'T EVEN FUCK AROUND WITH USB2 EVEN IF IT'S A NEW COMPUTER.Just save yourself the trouble. You don't need to reformat, and go through all that hassle. Just make sure you have the latest update on your ipod. Buy the firewire for PC by Belkin.
Your problems will be solved!!

have you tried a soft reset on the ipod itself? I had it stop recognizing my ipod a week ago and a soft reset fixed it right up.

i also have a pc...i just bought a firewire card (3 port) and it works fine. i would say def. just buy a fw card...it's only like $20 and then there shouldn't be a problem.
in any case good luck.

Can you still use ur ipod as a hardrive? If so, you might be able to browse the ipod and save all ur musika.
good luck.
