does photoshop cs have a font limit? My Illustrator has all my loaded fonts. Phototshop caps it after the letter E or so. It's very frustrating. It never used to have one.

use font managing software.
your system will slow down as you load more and more fonts

I am using font management. I don't have my fonts loaded into the system. I use font book. My problem is they don't all show up in PS. Illustrator shows them all just fine.

do you only have the prob when you open ps after illus, could be an available ram thing

Fontbook actually works on your system?
to me it was simply the buggiest piece of shitware i ever got on my computer..

nope. It's always. And I am very hooked up in the ram dept. It's really weird. It will display a-e only. If I add a new font that starts with B for instance, it will show up and bump off the last font of E. That suggests a limit I wasn't aware it had. It's very hard to work sometimes becasue of it.

It's plenty buggy but I have it under control. It's not so bad.

how many fonts do you have installed
pc/mac?
- dopepope0
Well, I have a few thousand. But if Illustator can show them all, Photoshop should be able too as well.

from what im finding it is a combo of what dinky said and the fact that adobe products allocate a % of ram per font you could be filling your virtual ram if on a pc

no pc. Mac. g5.

I ran into a similar problem. P'shop only allocates so much room to load your large font collection. Whittle it down.
And who needs thousands of fonts? There aren't 1000 good typefaces in the first place.

*disagree
5290 fonts
and all of them rock

I need them. I don't necessarliy use them all all the time, but it's necessary to have a grand supply for playing with ideas. It's the way I work, and it's also irrelevant. It should display what I have like illustrator does.
