i have my own thread. siiick!
My websites are all outdated... but will be reborn @ www.graphic-foundation.com. (mt) just gave me stamp of a-cool-val. But my new site requires a shoot, photographer, models, a costume designer, and a lot of equipment I'm arranging a the moment.

Many thanks, schjetne. Visit California sometime.
Lately, I've been curious to see what NTers are like in person. The circle of working designers and programmers are getting smaller and smaller. It seems as though we're all connected in real life through only 1 or 2 people.

I so wanna take you up on that offer but I'm in the middle of moving, plus I'm skint lately. I have to spend too much money for travelling to job interviews. Too bad I'm Banned In The USAâ„¢ or I would have applied for jobs there and combined interviews with vacation.

now why would the US ban you?
- jevad0
they're trying to cut down teh number of gingers

Schjetne The Potential Terroristâ„¢
You see, I was part of organizing some demonstrations against the Afghanistan war and the Iraqi war. I am not a big fan of US foreign politics. Well, I was half offered a job in the US, so I contacted the US immigration people to check what I had to do to get into the US. I told them "I have a criminal record but I guess that's no problem since it's old?". The criminal record was no big problem. Expired 1st of january 2004, I think? Anyway, they told me that I have the same status immigration wise as a potential terrorist.
If you're not with them, you're against them. Turns out that wasn't just something GWB said to sound big and strong.

"lol" @ jevad.
but really. what did you do.
- schjetne0
They were peaceful demonstrations too :( I love the US, I just disagree with the foreign politics.

hott!
- shellie0
no joke? whaat?
So, does that mean you're not allowed for visits, either? It seems as though if you talked to the right person, you could have that lifted from whatever "record" is on file. That seems a bit over the top just for organizing a demonstration. You must have burned some american flags, too. :|-
- MrDinky0
i hear shellie is hot
- shellie0
None of this, Dinky. Westwood is calling you back home.
- schjetne0
shellie: actually the "potential terrorist" thing turned out to be a bit harsh, as I (after the criminal record stuff went away) am now allowed to visit the US. There's just no way in hell I can move over there...
- MrDinky0
Indeed
i do miss my suite at Westwood
sigh.
- shellie0
That doesnt make any sense. Whatever damange a potential terrorist could do could be done in a visit, don't you think?
- jevad0
fuckin lame
what was the criminal record for? crimes against design?
omg lol lmfao omg!!
