Oakland always does this and flutters out, every damn year.
Please M. Cuban come back home and buy them from the current paper industry dork we have. Or better yet bring me an NBA franchise too while your at it.

i don't know what it is, but the devil rays, arguably one of the worst teams in baseball, know how to beat up their own division. The only stadium where they have a winning record is yankee stadium, they just swept the orioles, and after not having any extra inning games for 99 games straight, the devil rays make us play two in a row, while taking out our starting pitcher with a line drive to his head and having trot nixon strike out so hard he fucks up his back.
Bloody Tuesday, this game should be one for the ages.

The Unit had it working today. Finally got that ERA down below 4.00. Only good things are coming...;)

The Yankees will get no Pirates.
Get away FAT George!!
- el_capitan0
You know who the Yankees should get in the future?
How about these two:
Miguel Cabrera
Mark PriorImage that, you know the Yanks have them on the radar as their respective contract are nearing an end.
One can only wish. :)
- uberdesigner0
the yankees will get those two within two years
- kingjulien0
damn buddylee, you are beyond pathetic. i mean you were banned last week for being an ignorant twat, you've always used uberdesigner to be a cock with, and now you've registered el_capitan to have conversations with yourself. what's the matter, the la_raza movement isn't occupying enough of your time?
and by the way, i don't care how many players the yankeers purchase, they'll still find a way to choke like they did in the alcs last year. remember, those millions can buy talent, but they can't buy class (besides Jeter).
uno.

Not to turn this thread into a self-promo, but has anyone see the ads we made for MLB2005?
- GreedoLives0
Huff and Cameron COMBINED have 23 Homers and 95 RBIs, Manny ALONE has 28 homers and 92 RBIs...and we get a closer from Tampa that we just beat all over the place when we saw him this week.
Ugh.

Congratulations to Boston and Sox fans...but that WS championship was terrible for your brand.

Manny to Mets trade talks back on track
(breaking news)
HOUSTON — A mega-deal that would land Manny Ramirez in Flushing was back on track yesterday, held up only by Tampa Bay’s attempts to add prospects to the blockbuster three-team deal involving the Mets, Red Sox and Devil Rays.
Mets owner Fred Wilpon signed off yesterday on absorbing the entire $64 million remaining on Ramirez’s contract, the Daily News has learned, an absolute condition on the part of the Red Sox, who would also receive Mike Cameron, Aaron Heilman and former first-round draft pick Lastings Milledge from the Mets, and Aubrey Huff from the Devil Rays.
Shortstop Julio Lugo would go from Tampa to the Mets to play second base.
The last stumbling block in the super trade was Tampa Bay general manager Chuck LaMar’s demand for an additional prospect.
The Devil Rays would get pitcher Yusmeiro Petit from the Mets and shortstop Hanley Ramirez from the Red Sox, but they are holding out for a third prospect from Boston, either pitcher Anibal Sanchez or catcher Kelly Shoppach. The Red Sox are balking, even though they would get outfield prospect Lastings Milledge from the Mets.
“This thing can get done if Chuck stops over-reaching,” said one official familiar with the negotiations.

Manny's not in the lineup tonite... :(
I can't fucking believe they're trading his ass away. I mean, he's asked for this every year since 2002, but he IS boston baseball. And the Mets BETTER pick up his entire contract, i couldn't live with the indignity of paying for one of the best hitters in baseballs' contract every time i go to a game even though he's in goddamn New York. Jesus, i might have to start watching the Mets, or the Junior Red Sox as they should really be called.
Watch, Big Papi'll be down there next year. I'm gonna go hang myself now.
