Hi NT,
This is the best website i've made ... well it's kind of my first, as I'm more from a print design background. Would love to know your thoughts/suggestions.
I have been teaching myself flash while making this site so i now know some things on it could be done better.
Also I kept it pretty simple as ther learning flash thing did take quite a bit of time.
Let me know what you think
thanks

I feel "confined" while surfing the site... just a gut feel.
Didn't stay me beyond 5 clicks.

I guess I see where your coming from, I was conscious of not displaying too much work or having too much info. But if keeping it concise is boring, that is a problem.
- JG_LB0
yeah it feels weird...maybe the colors and big ugly typefaces.
but that's just me. i'm a male 19 year old photographer from california with an extremely large penis. your target demographic is not me.
..don't listen to me.

the navigation site makes me feel confined. open it up, as in, dont make the site confine to the web, make the site a border between the web and the site.
too much site not enough you i guess. didnt even look at the work because the site limited me.

thx for the feedback, I think I understand whre you coming from. I think it stems from me not wanting to have long lists of titles of projects on my site rather consice sections of work.
I don't really understand what you mean by
"make the site a border between the web and the site."could you elaborate?
cheers mate

I like your Tourism W.A. work - nice job.

Yeah, the only part I saw was in miscellaneous, and it looked like that whole section could be deleted. Other stuff is hopefully better, looked like it. :-]
I will say this: The site should function to show the work. not the site.
- Beech0
yeah, It was a bit of a project of mine to teach myself some actionscript and make a folio at the same time so I dig the feedback that the site might take centre stage a bit too much.
The main content is in the Rally, Grok magazine and Tourism sections, and there are some pretty dominant images in there.
I have other misc work that i'm trying to decide if it is worth chucking in there, but i agree it does come up feeling a bit out of context. Maybe I should re-name that section.

ive had to do some of that tourism wa stuff about 2 years ago. haha.
I reckon pick one good font, rather than two bold display type fonts. Maybe loose all the bold rounded outlines. They detract from the work, which should be the focus.
- Beech0
Yeah, I saw that on your site ... well y'know, it's a small town :)
maybe I should lose the rounded font, it has kind of just survived from the original site layout. I guess i've seen it enough that I just ignore it now.
thnx for the feedback
Also are you still living in perth we should organise an NT perth catch up some time. I know there are at least 6-10 or so cats here.

you know, it has an 'early generation' feel to it, but it's a solid site, so don't sweat it.
keeping an open head (which you're showing) and spending some time looking at it, revisiting it, etc. will move you right along.
nothing to add but good work.

them fonts clash

Thanks for the feedback guys ... yep, I'm going to cull that rounded text for shore :)
