so i just spent the past 2.5 hours trying to figure out why an embedded swf wasn't displaying in ie 5.2 on the mac, only to find out that that damn POS browser (f*$*it) doesn't work correctly with the overflow declaration.
ugh. give me back my time and go f*ck yourself MS

there is a neat little trick I learned!
this will fix your problem in Mac IE
/* \*/
html, body
{
height: 100%;
width: 100%;
overflow: visible;
}
/* */html, body
{
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
background: #FFFFFF;
}

Dude why are you even wasting your time with IE? MS doesnt even support it anymore for the Mac. Its dead. Im amazed when I still see people using it on a mac. I just laugh out them.

i would've, but i had somebody call me telling me that a site that i developed wasn't working in mac ie 5, and he's a web developer and stictly uses ie for mac. either way, it wasn't a total waste, since i learned something new because of it. it's just i could have been doing much better things with my time :-/

Hes a web developer and only works in IE on a mac? Oh man I feel bad for the people who are using him for a site.

yep. mac, only uses IE = major dickhead.
IE isn't the same between mac or PC (so no codee issues saved there) and safari comes standard with mac so who would bother? maybe for the huge marketshare % that use mac OS9 IE. mmm, design a site for .0005% = great idea.
