Question:
A flashlight is travelling at the speed of light, in a vacuum. It's turned on.Is the light visible?
- save0
who cares?
- lnu0
Yes
- Soler0
and, why?
- cosmo0
depends if the light bulb is busted or not.
- bitnik0
nope ... a flashlight can't travel if it's turned on. It's an universal metaphysical law ... if one is turned on, one must copulate
- gruntt0
why would need to see inside of your vaccuum anyway?
regardless of how fast it's going.
- TheTick0
Depends on where you're standing I suppose..
- Soler0
There is noone standing anywhere. Does teh light project, stand still, or not exist?
- bitnik0
this z*n-shit is making me crazy
- TheTick0
If no one is standing anywhere, no one can give you an answer. Please see Scientific Principle #31: "Bear s**ting in woods..."
- TheTick0
Oops..I mean Scientific Principle #32: A Tree Falls In A Forest...
Also Schrodingers cat in a box thing..whatever..
And how are you goning to get the flashlight to move at lightspeed?
- gruntt0
if a bear was in the woods shitting on your vacuum cleaner would you stop to pick up your flashlight while running at the speed of light?
- brandelec0
depends if the light was on before the flashlight reached the speed of light or if it turns on while its at that speed
- bitnik0
and what if it is a lightsaber ... will it cut itself into pieces ?
- TheTick0
What abou the Tachyon particles?
- brandelec0
the tree will make energy, but no sound until there is an ear to interpret that energy intp sound
- lnu0
The speed of light is not depending on or affected by the speed of the lightsource. It would act the same way as if the flashlight were still, mathematically speaking: traveling at c.
Would be cool to try though.

More wisea** answers:
- Is there a cowbell in the experiment?
- What does the Bible say. Apparently it has lots of scientific answers.
- What kind of batteries is in the flashlight?
- Which way is the flashlight pointing?
- ribit0
and which way is the flashlight pointing, forwards or back?
either way, it doesn't matter, right? the flashlight cant move at the speed of light?
- TheTick0
Wait - if the light wasn't visible would it be light at all?
Wow. That was so deep I'm drowning...
