Depends if A1 can get professionally known drivers so it doesnt look like a rich kids playground. Good drivers would bring some background to the sport too. Are they still pushing for 1 driver for each nation?

FIA looks old and weak? Makes Michelin look old and weak, please install a new chicane for us because our tires cant handle it. There is no one else to blame.

I Have been watching F1 for over 16 years and have never seen such a disgraceful disregard for the fans and basic respect for a sport.

Michelin's tires have been far superior to Bridgestone's this entire year. Ferrari has been closer to matching the performance of their tire brethren Jordan and Minardi, than to any of the Michelin teams. I find it hard to believe that in one week Michelin has fallen off the map and Bridgestone is king.

but schumacher is a cock.

fucking eccelstone needs to wake up now that this has happened. change the fucking tire rule before someone gets hurt. now granted they made a good decision this weekend.....sort of, but something needs to happen. one tire manufacturer and let them changes tires during a race. i'm just glad i didn't go to Indy this year.

that indy race was a joke to begin with - good idea, bad application.
they should've went back to Watkins Glen.

what is A1?
this is bad, but i dont think it will hurt to much in the long race...it sure have not changed my view of F1.

just scrap the whole sport. Its only about technology and money now anyway.
Nothing to do with driving anymore, its just who has the biggest budget.
bit like the premiership!:)

A1 could be the answers to all your prayers. it's similar to F1 but run by the dubai royal family. (so it will probably have a gold logo) but all the cars will be made by lola, so it's about national pride rather then money.
i'm just worried it will be a bit lame. (with lot's of gold trim)

I hope F1 recovers in the US, but they need an F1 audience not a NASCAR audience.
There is no excuse for throwing bottles on the track.
I was flinching for Michelin watching their ad time go to waste during the race. And I was just thinking of trading in my Yokahama's for some Pilot Sports.
Anyway, as far as I'm concerned it's all about Moto GP in the US this year!!! I hope we US fans hold up a good rep and put the bottles in the trash.

I was shattered watching that race. Watching the sport I love hit the lowest point I've ever seen is pretty gut wrenching.
1. Yes, Michelin brought the wrong tires and should be punished, no question.
2. But then it becomes a question of putting on a show. The FIA failed miserably there. One of the suggestions was to put in the chicane, and the Michelin runners score no points. Implementing that would have been achievable and we could have actually had a race to watch.
3. As for FIA being right in not bending the rules at all to allow a watchable, and safe race - INTERGALOS 2003. Bridgestone didn't bring a full wet tire, only their Intermediates, which given the heavy rain before the race were unsafe. The FIA compromised and allowed a number of parade laps to clear the course of water so that the Bridgestone runner's (Ferrari) could compete. I'm not saying either decision is the right one, but there should be consistency. What's good for one should be good for the other.
4. F1 is as good as dead in the US. No question. At this stage, I don't think that's a big loss. Indy was never suited to F1, and this tyre issue proved it. F1 cars simply aren't designed for that kind of circuit. F1 and Indy cars look similar, and that's about it.
5. It's also dissapointing that this was actually a pretty good season, with some cracking races and a reasonably close championship. This race will overshadow anything that happens this year.
