having trouble getting a horz scroll bar out of my iframe in firefox (pc). works fine in safari and firefox on (mac). i've built the .html file that loads into the iframe in tables = which i know is old fashion = css would be much better, except for the fact that i am a css novice relying heavily on dreamweaver.
anyone know of a good tutorial addressing this issue?
thank you in advance.

define the width of the page that you are loading into the iframe.

when I figured out how to do scrolling sections with CSS to accomplish the same thing as iframes (but no seperate content), I did a cartwheel across my office, bounced up, did one of those Hyper Uppercuts, then ate 10 bags of Peanut M&M's.

i guess that's a good work around but it seems as though i have to make my .html file that loads a little smaller for the pc firefox browser to kick the scroll bar.

great. i want some m&m's. did you read a good tutorial to help you? i've googled several times, but keep running into tutorials that have lots of holes in them. it seems.

Have you got the webdevloper plugin for firefox?
it sounds like you might have a stray element within the scrollable element.
Use the webdeveloper plugin to outline all the elements and see if it gives you a clue...

Have a look at these two sites:
Scrolling

Layout:
http://bluerobot.com/web/layouts…Let me say this loud and clear: I'm no expert with CSS at all. I just picked up on things very quickly through trial and error, and thanks to some great resources out there.
It's a blast learning new stuff like this and breaking it and fixing it and such.I can't post anything I've done because it's work stuff. But check those links out. I can post some code if you're curious about how to get the scrolling boxes to position and work.

i'd rather you post a QT of said cartwheel, uppercuts and m&m eating.
;)
but yeah, thanks for the links... checking now....

CSS:
html { overflow: -moz-scrollbars-vertical; }
Good luck!

Try adding this in the head of your iframe.html
html,body {overflow-x:hidden;}

Have a look at this. This was also somewhat inspired by the CSS Zen Garden book.
