Who do you have to sleep with to get the file's date modified to update immediately?
I change files and the time stamp stays the same unless I click in the file. then it updates..
does anyone else have this issue?

Finder seems to be 'asleep on the job' in certain instances
from my experience. E.g. file copying to/from server volumes sometimes
requires opening a new window (there's no 'refresh' button) to produce an
updated list of files.

me too...I hate it.

yep, it blows.
apparently you can get a 3rd party app which will refresh all files immediately (i think it may be through alladin top 10 for X thing). no doubt the cons to the app are that it'll rape and pillage your small town after a week's work...

That's lame you have to resort to a 3rd paty plug-in to do what the designed app was supposed to do in the first place. I'm in a bitching mood anyways!

I've had that problem in the past, but I haven't noticed it with OSX 10.4. Maybe it's fixed? Who knows.
More importantly, Font Book still blows and font management for my Mac still blows.
