Hey gang,
Windows doesn't seem to be showing the Illustrator logo next to .AI files, just the generic icon for files it doesnt know what they are, they open fine but it's just annoying not having the icon associated with them, any ideas?
Cheers.

you could have deleted the icon image in the system folder?

it's clapper activated.
clap your hands twice, loudly.

hmmm, gruntt, that didn't work

graholic, some more info? Where is this icon located, how do I replace it etc.

i wish apps opens/closes that way. right winking - open, left-winking - quit.
fast blinking-force quit.

hold on...let me find where shit is supposed to be located..
but app files is stored in the illustrator folder either in the programs files folder or system folder (i think adobe uses system folder), and there are gif images. if you delete them, the image won't show, but since you didn't delete .ico itself, the functionality is there.
what version of illustrator you have? if this is the case of missing image, then i'm sure you can get a copy from someone and paste them into the right folder directory.
i just got a new laptop so i haven't installed illustrator yet...otherwise i'd give you the file.

grafholic, CS. I can't remember deleting any icon files or venturing anywhere near the system dir o.O
