Luckily I live and work by the beach, so I'm dumb to inland heat. It's only high of 76 today in Santa Monica.
But some places on the west coast, arizona, nevada and california are expected to hit record breaking levels.
Vegas is supposed to be 115°F/46°C. today!
Riverside is supposed to be 103°F/39°C
WTF?

haha who was that one British dude complaining about 82 F. I almost sh*t myself.
yeah 115 F is a little on the warm side. The hottest I've ever seen was close to 47 Celcius which is ~117 F.

global warming is obviously a liberal myth

You could seriously steap tea in georgian bay right now.... 10 years ago it would have been still kind of cold for swimming at this point in the season.

(Jul 19 05, 10:47)what do you mean? Global Warming is BS. We've argued about this before from a scientific viewpoint, it's been MUCH MUCH hotter in previous Eras.

Seriously. I get in my car and the temp. read 101°.... @ 6:30 this am! (AZ)
The pool feels around 85 in the PM (if not warmer), sunburn occurs in less than 15 min.
Should be around 111° today. nice...

but when the sun is going down out west it's excellent. chillin' by the pool with a drink in hand.
ahhhhhh

A few years ago in Vegas I was at the damn getting ready to start the tour. The tour guide said over the megaphone "now people, it's 130 degrees in the shade so bring plenty of water"
I said "no way is it 130 in the shade"
He pointed to the thermostat they have by one of the memorials which was in the shade... yup... 130.
Holy shit was it hot.

Where is the Monsoon when we need it?

ThreeSevenFive, where in scottsdale do u live? did it rain there last night?

Just makin a smart ass remark.
Live next to a glacier and see how you feel about it. and one can't dismiss the recent weather as being altogether normal.
Neverending hurricanes, giant tsunamis, earthquakes, flooding etc.. And tons of scientific evidence to back up the theory that we are causing some of these problems.

I wanted to g to Palm sprints this weekend. I just looked.
116°F on Friday - 109°F Sunday
That's farking unbelievable. I'll go when it's closer to 90-100. You can't even go lay by the pool in that kind of heat. And being in the water, youre asking for a heat stroke.

I'm off of Hayden & Oak St.
In between McDowell and Thomas.
I saw that it rained a little in my area.
How about you? Where you at?
