can anyone tell me why my main div is not stretching the full height of the screen in firefox? hmtl and body and the div all have heights of 100%??

also height is a notorious cunt for getting right.

it's because in XHTML, the browser is defined as having a finite width and infinite height, so you can't use percentages for height.
instead, make a long 1px high and X px wide image of your main div background AND you current background (ie, the image, when scaled vertically should show your diagonal lines, your main content gradient, and then continue with the diagonal lines.

padding and margin 0 on both html and body and removing the height from the container fouks it up?
its only firefox that's giving me the problem are other firefox users seeing this too?

To last known, firefox does not recon height in %, only fixed px works on our side.

this issue been killing me , so for referenece if anybody else has problems with content overspill from their main container in Mozilla browsers add this juicy line to your container div
display: table;
and happy days :)
