MTA put a Cease and Desist on those maps for the ipod, so they had to take them down from that site, does anybody have the maps, that could send them to me, I'll be in NYC next month for the Tokion Confrence and those would come in handy.
Thanks in Advance

I'm not so sure the iPod subway maps are such a good idea you know.
It's like a way of saying 'Hey I'm lost/not from round here' and 'Hey I've got an iPod' all at the same time.
Just pick up a map at your destination or download and print before you leave?

wow how did I know you all were going to say that!?, you don't think think I've thought of that!? Thats why you be discrete with it, they are going to think your from out of town anyway if your fumbling through a paper map or lookin at the maps on the wall, if you dont have earphones and its in a case or somethin it pretty much looks like a cell some shit anyway. Its just seems a little more convienient to scroll through differnt sections then folding and flipping through a paper map.

dont be an idiot!!!
everyone looks at the subway maps even us new yorkers who live herre everyday! you will be more noticed with an ipod on the trains than someone looking at a map. and our maps come in all sizes, and also like index000 said, just print out the link i posted of the map or purchase a hand held small lamenated copy wallet size.
your life isnt in danger going on the NYC subways! just always be aware of your surroundings. the subways are safe. just dont flaunt your ipod in everyones face.
i personally never seen someone ipod snatched from their hands but it has happened.
i see your point but i hope you see ours. my concern is that the screen size for your map will be too small, and as it is the wall size maps are tiny and smashed with info i can imagine looking at it any smaller, but your choice.

when i went to NYC, i memorized the maps on the plane... and my routes... when i got there i didnt blink an eye.. just 456 line to the others, no problem... no one would have guessed i wasnt from NYC

Its the actual size of a map but in sections, so you just scroll through the differnt pics/sections. I don't know it might be just as confusing scrolling through the sections, but it wouldn't hurt to see how easy or hard it is before i go.
And when im there i usually hit up about 20 different stores/spots so its not that easy to memorize all the stops and routes.

LOL derek, I do the same thing. I print out those maps that e-pill linked, then I study them on the plane and on the bus ride into the city so I wouldn't look so stupid in public. Then when you get there, you realize just like e-pill said, even the NYer's study the maps. The one thing I learned about being stupid in NY was how to move with pedestrian traffic. Mad crazy out there cuz out here in Vegas, nobody walks anywhere.
