by default when you give something a stroke the stroke is on the inside of the shape. where can i make it so the stroke is on the center or the outside of the path?
- radar0
mine defaults to center?

CS2 has those options in the stroke palette.
- swollenelbow0
wow, good question...maybe brooke knows...is this possible to control?

can you outline the stroke and then use your 'white arrow' tool and select the strokes you do not want to use and erase them?
:)

in freehand you can designate wherre the stroke falls and also in photoshop.
dont know if you want to jump back and forth though.

i have no idea what version i'm using, but it isn't cs2, it's defaulting to stroke on the inside, and it's pissing me off.
anyone know where this hidden setting is?

Do you have an "appearance" palette in your version?
if so move the FILL attribute
under the STROKE attribute.
That seems to move the stroke to the center of the path.
But it could all just be an illusion!

it WAS defaulting to center, and i couldn't tell because the outline was black and it wa on a black background. i kept expecting the "highlight" outline to change with the stroke and it didn't; the only visible change was on the inside so i assumed it was stroking inside
