is there anyway that I add bold or underline tags to these?

what is the point?
it is just supposed to store metadata.do you want to underline the output of that data??
like, in an RSS feed or soemthing?TR1

the point is that I want all text coming into flash to be underlined. . .and then certain text to be bold.
xml file was one that i was supplied, did not create, and it ONLY uses attributes. . .i would have put the content in nodes. . .
my flash file uses one movieclip which has one textbox over and over again. . .so i would like to be able to control the formatting of the content coming in. . .
just trying to save myself some time by not redoing the xml file.

just put tags around the text you want bold. not usre if fglash will understand but worth a shot.

haha it took out the bold tags...
< bold >< / Bold>

nah. . .tried that. . .
the quotation marks screw it up. . .
:(
my other option is to some how tell the variable that populates the the textbox to be bold/underlined . . . i know i could potentially put tags around a string and make sure the textbox is htmlText . . .but i am not dealing with strings here. . .
