Anyone else experience a lag in PS CS2?
I've been using it a while now and have notived a major reduction in responsivness over the last few weeks.

Seems slower than CS but it also has improved my productivity.

Also: I have an old computer, so slowness is to be expected.
However, I don't find it unbearable or anything.

i read recently that PS CS2 is actually faster because it uses less scratch memory and instead (i think) draws more from the CPU..
i have noticed it seems a little faster than CS1 on my G5.
but if you have an older puter and were previously relying on a scratch disk for performance, then yes you'd probably notice a slow down.

CS2 is garbage. On my dual xeons 3.6ghz with 4gb it drags like shit. It starts off fine and then over time it becomes unbareably slow.
This is not the case on a P4 3.2Ghz with 1gb of ram running Photoshop CS.
In all honesty, CS2 does make you that you don't want to go back to CS since it has a nice workflow and smart layers, but in essence what good is all that when I have to reboot my machine or restart Photoshop every time it becomes slow.
It seems that there's a memory leak or some type of memory problem with CS2.

Yeah, I find it painful to use, stupid simple stuff like switching tools or toggling bg / fg colour... I often get a good few seconds freeze up... WTF!?
It's annoying because I love the new features of CS2, but cant bear using it!

I'd agree on the memory leak problem... I get the same problem opening and closing a large number of raw image files from my digital camera... at first, it's nice and snappy opening the files, altering them and saving them, but after say 25 photos I have to close it down and open it again...
Please patch us Adobe!

Have been using CS rather than CS 2 for PS. PS CS2 was a dog on my G5.
