Looks nice and neat. Nothing unnessecary and makes the work stand out.
Check your email - should keep you going.

like it jevad.
clean as.I dont think it needs the 'nt' bottom right though, i think it comprimises the slick feel.
unless you had it ultra small.

clean and simple.
2 thumbs up

ah hah
nice one anne!

nice
like your portfolio site too
clean and simple. well used space.
I think I agree about the "nt" thing. maybe smaller and sans.
thanx for the positive feedback btw :)

don't like the small z amongst the CAPS but I guess that's a requirement.
don't like the blocks behind the "Your blahblah" too.
Might wanna tweak the Client-Project-Year-Role as well because contrast is pretty low there.
Other than that it's nice and neat.

yeah the "nt" looks out of place. It visually conflicts with your name the other side.
In relation to the rest of your design those buttons look a little clumsey as well.
very tidy otherwise

Cheers all - somethign was throwing the balance off and it is indeed the 'nt' and those buttons
Ta for the time and your comments

a bit dark for me, which is funny because 80% of my clothes are black....

what bit is it i gotta look at son? the poster on the left? it'd probably need more text on it surely?? if you use the text logo on the right and run that along the bottom of the poster you might be getting there. quick comp job. i can see the logo working on stamps and a satchell! looks quite american so maybe you can sort of try a bit of europos-izing because i don't the clients will get it! i can imagine it working well with a voice over also!
i can send you some links if you like?

somebody is on a 1 px shift kick i see. ;)
nice and fresh for sure, nic. i gotta say, it looks totally "colorado" if that makes sense. that is a good thing, but it definitly has that contemporary, rocky mountain design-esque feel.
i agree w/ other as well the the nt is pretty distracting. possibly a bit more real estate dedicated to displaying the work? just a thought...
- jevad0
all valid points...I think I'll puff up those margins a bit too
anyone else?

I like it. It looks slick. I agree that the buttons don't really match and the NT threw me off too.
Is there going to be a main navigation or just a prev next linearly through the projects?
- bulletfactory0
My suggestions seem to be the same as listed above.....
color and layout -
simple and organized....
breathes well -how will the design expand if a project has more details? (scroll bar inside info box, epanding legth, etc)
I would like to take another look after you've made the tweaks you mentioned to see how it develops!

" Is there going to be a main navigation or just a prev next linearly through the projects? "
no...there's only going to be maybe 8 projects and I wanted to keep it linear.
The image on the left will fade in and out between images. It's really more to accent the designs more than showcase them - I'm hoping that people will click on the 'View Project' link to get the full image views

I like the design. It's clean and black, which I really like :)
I agree with most of the points already made. I'm also sick right now, so I won't properly critique it in this state, haha. But it's looking good.
I'm actually working on a new design for my site as well, so that the portfolio is more functional. I'll be having that sliding/fade in/out image thingy too. It's effective.

i guess i must have a bad design eye on this one - because I'm not super keen on it. but the rest of you are - so there you have it.
i don't like the drop shadow behind the text block. the copy on the right is getting too much attention IMO. if the site is just to showcase the work, then showcase the work! i prefer to see work in a more horizontal format, rather than vertical. i also don't like being forced through projects - i want to be able to go to any project. and I also like to see multiple screen shots of a website before I decide to go there.
but those are just my opinions, no design flaws really, except the nt, which was mentioned already.
what about flipping those two boxes clockwise - with the work on top, copy underneath. make the copy underneath two columns. i think that would look snappy. just my $.02
- jevad0
hmmm..I didn't try that jakey...I'll give it a shot tonight

The "nt" should be "(mt)"
Sorry, couldn't resist that.

nt = nic tinworth
nt = newstodaycoincidence? I think not.
