Does anyone have an idea of the best 3d program on a Macos system? Or which one you prefer?

My collegue works with Cinema4d.
For Motion Graphics it works good, and if you are a beginner its a bit easier to learn.

maya! maya!
i'm currently on my 2nd hour of trying to work out how to use this programme and have already rendered an entire army of orcs, plus a cute kitten with fluffy fur rendered to FRIGHTENING accuracy AND a miniture representation of the cosmos!
They are all inside cardboard boxes, mind. Closed boxes. But still.

I agree. Cinema 4d is easy and works fine for motion. Maya is much better, but is fucking expensive and not so friendly for beginners...

what! fluffy kittens in 2 hours!
Its time to switch i guess

i've used maya breifly and it was pretty fucking intesne. i'll stick to learning some 2D motion before i can suck down the 3D jobs

why thank you josimarX, it's my special gift, no one can explain where it came from or how it works, i was just born that way.

3d apps aren't hard, you just have to put in the effort to learn them. They aren't photoshop where you just look through the tools and other menus.
My suggestion: Buy a book on whatever program. C4D, Maya, 3dsmax are all good choices. Once you learn one program well, your skillset will transfer from one program to another.
But I cannot stress this enough: BUY A BOOK!

yes thanks Vespa, It was a ray of light during my JAVA lesson in my object BOX.

yeah i'll agree with fate on buying a book. i was in a class with kids that ate, slept and breathed 3D graphics, so i survived. i just didn't have the time to put into it.

if you have time, then Maya for sure. it's really powerful. Many of 3d programs are very similar in terms of how it works.
I wish I spent more time learning Maya. I was too comfortable using Rhino, Formz, 3D max and never bothered to make a complete switch over.
So it's best to start with Maya and make the best effort to learn the complete package.
