yeah, you'd think people would have caught on by now, that people will do the absolute opposite of what they're being told to do, if they feel opressed.
funny thing is, growing up in the US you hear all the time about Europeans growing up able to drink responsibly because alcohol isn't criminalized/wine is served with meals/younger drinking limits.

Personally, I hate the way some use pure economy to justify moral intervention. We are humans. We drink. Cost/Commodity is simply not an issue.

Yeah most are like that but there are a limited number of self-service ones too. Maybe 1 out of 10.
This is only one of thousands of things I have to put up with every day. All this control backfires - we have the highest death rate caused by alcohol in europe. You even have to stand in line for an hour (average waiting time) at the pharmacy for aspirin.
Socialism at its worst.
