I liked MfDoom/Madlib more than this but its hard to compare them because they are so different.

Really not doing it for me. It just feels wrong [DM's production] with MF DOOMS lyrical style, almost a forced match.
I would recommend Viktor Vaughns - Vaudeville Villain album for perfect production that compliments MFD's style perfectly.

Madlib is much better at handling MF Doom's style, the old jazzy standards compliment his snappy rapping much better than Dangermouse. I do enjoy the Four Tet remixes of the Madvillain jawn.

I much prefer the crispy/leftfield production of Heat Sensor in combination with Mr DOOM's lyrics. Perfect example 'Rae Dawn' [off VV-VV].
