I notice alot of you guys are very knowledgable when it comes to logo similarities. Here's my dilemma. A fairly reputable firm has redesigned the logo of the company I work for. Specifically, they used 3 straight lines for the "E" and "M" in our name. Who knows of other logos using this treatment? It seems familiar to me and I just want to compare and contrast... and avoid pulling a Quark. Thanks in advance.

LOL, no... I can't show the logo unfortunately (YET) but it is just like it sounds. You know the "E" in "ESPRIT"? Like that.
And just to clarify, this is not my logo design.... but I did do the 3M. I am super rich because of it too.

It's an abstract way to communicate letterforms.
No rip involved.

esprit
haha, once I saw a piece by my dean of design school at sfmoma. It was an esprit ad with a teddy bear tucked into some blankets. I was like wtf is this doing in a museum?
