I'm preparing a proposal for a potential client, it's a paper company. They need a site that would be about as complicated the French Paper site or Mohawk's site; not too heavy, but they would need an online store.
My involvement would be strictly in creating the look & feel, I'd sub contract the back end. Flash, html, probably some Java (?) and CSS...
So how long of a timeframe do you guys think I should stipulate? I'm woefully inexperienced in web design, hopefully that will change soon. Thanks!!

Hey I have an unrelated q, epill. You mentioned recently that my portfolio site is way too big for your monitor. Just curious, what size is your screen & resolution?
When I get around to version 2.0, it will be considerably smaller. And I'll do it myself it if takes me a year.

oh, i use a G3 ibook with max resolution of 800x600. also its a 3gig max harddrive. and 160mega ram.
im pushing the limits. its 1 program at a time, but i manage.

o
well no wonder man. The site's like 1000 x 768. It looks fine here, but then again my Powerbook is 15 inch at 1280 resolution.
Next version will be 800 x 600. Shoulda made the guy do it like that to be begin with...somehow the web design I learned in school leaked out over the past four years. The 'web design' class at my school involved learning HTML & the Macromedia suite in one semester. Retarded...Live & learn I guess. I'm jumping into Flash today.
