Is there that much difference between AS1 and AS2? I've got the origional ActionScript: The Definitive Guide book by Colin Moock, but haven't really done any serious AS for a few years. Do i need to get the updated Definitive Guide, or will the original be OK with a little help from site like http://www.flash-mx.com/flash/ac…

AS2 is closer to java so there's a difference

can't hurt to get the updated version or moock's essential as 2.0

Anyone got a copy of Moock's AS MX they want to get rid off ?? :)

Moock's 2.0 is awesome, but it's all Object Oriented Programming. If you already have a good grasp of AS 1.0 it's a good move, but his 2.0 book won't cover fundamentals like his first ASDG book. So it's only recommended if you have a good grasp of 1.0 and want to move on to OOP.
Great books though!
