it has something to do with the font size. Changing it to 1em (on we development) loses the anomaly.

I just had a really good look at it all, I really don't know why it's doing that. If you take the font size out it goes away, if you mess with the line-height: it makes the gap even bigger, even though it shouldn't have any effect, as far as i'm aware. Very weird. Dunno what to suggest! :-\

An "a" tag INSIDE an "img" tag ?? That wont work!
Also, guys, look at the html, those are background graphics, not img's! Therefore redefining the img tag properties wont help (unless the divider img's between the links are triggering the problem, which i'm 99% sure they're not)
