using firefox here with no problems. safari didn't cut it for me. try omniweb. it costs money but if you are that serious about your web browsing maybe thats the answer.

Aside from the "unexpected quit" every now and then (I think it has something to do with sites full of flash-ads, not sure tho), Safari is really the best alternative. It has that Apple app feeling to it I like. I just wish they've come up with a more functional name, most people who've never touched a mac searches for ages for something that says "internet", they're not wanting to go looking at lions and giraffes.

mine never crashes

I use Camino most of the time, but I haven't had any trouble with Firefox, Safari or Camino. So I'd have to agree that it's probably a specific web site that is giving you trouble.

Firefox has bugs (keyboard shortcuts not responding, flash sucks) but i'm learning to live w/ it.

i'm running a quad g5 (equivalent of a terraherz cpu) with like 6 gigs of ram and safari still eats ass.
not only does it crash occasionally, but is has problems with displaying fonts properly
firefox works fine but is ugly as fuck
and don't say get a skin for it, because all of those are ugly as fuck too

wow, Shiira is a pretty good contender. It's webkit so some safari bugs still persist but if it doesn't crash it might be a winner. It looks like a promising project.
Thanks whoever suggested it,

I read that if Safari crashes, its likely your Java library. Follow Carty's advice and do all your updates. My Safari is pretty stable.
