may I also take a moment and point out that BRONSON ARROYO is amazing?...
... I've been saying it for years too damnit!!!!! ... and what a cool guy to boot - humble - talented..
5-0 on the start of the season w/an era nearly below .100 and... AND 2 homeruns thus far..... and a simple two-hitter today!
Cincinatti - you lucky bastards.

One for the ages: pulling mirabelli out of a hat 10 minutes before showtime (he had to change in the limo from the airport, with police escort...Logan to Fenway in 12 minutes, that's freaking unheard of)
Johnny acting all class, winning the crowd over briefly, then having crumpled up dollar bills thrown at him in the outfield (hehehe) and remaining hitless (as stated before), some excellent defense, the aging crumbling yankees pitching, and big papi with a clutch homer "into the teeth of the wind".
Wow.

Damon... man, I liked him on the Bosox. And his first hit, he ran over first and kidney tapped dude.
Man he is fun player.
Who had to throw the ball to Sheff in right field on a warning track catch last week because his arm is so ... weak, haha.

Only in boston would a backup catcher get a police escort to the stadium. What a day for doug!
I'm happy he's back on the sox cuz I know he hated SD, but I'm pissed cuz we basically traded Loretta for a backup of a backup catcher and some cash.
Last night's game was so great, I started telling the gf how we need to visit the fam to boston this sept. so we can catch a sox vs yanks game at fenway.

Fuck all big market teams
It's a sham and you know it
Baseball will not be fun again until they fix the problem

And the Pirates lost again last nite in another 1 run game.

(May 2 06, 08:13)what else is new. Lead the NL in HR's for a while and lose 1 run games over and over and over
regardless, it's the small market team's owners taking in the money and not spending it on the team and MLB giving huge breaks to Big Markets, etc.

(May 2 06, 08:15)Completely agree, but that's what separates us from the rest. Anyone can like the sox or the yanks. Hell even I love the sox. But it takes a little extra effort to love a small market team. In a sad way, I kind of enjoy it. When the pads are losing I know all is right and well in the world.

I don't know why but I find this hilarious.
Perhaps it's the elder gentlemen doing this pose, with 2 kids in SF hates like 2 rows ahead of him.
Class!!!!!!

g'luck getting them tick's... and last night's rainout should get a few lucky fans a sweet double-header down the road (the game didn't finish right? I stopped waiting for it when the Suns/Lakers came on and am too lazy to stop typing and check)

--------------------------No believe it or not the gf is a huge baseball fan like myself. I realized i was with the right person when we recently spent our anniversary eating pizza, drinking beer, and watching the game on TV.
Sox game at fenway will cost us an arm and a leg, but I got pplenty of family to stay with over there so it should offest the costs a little.

Game never played, double header August 18th/19th I believe.

Aaron Rowand is my new favorite player.
He knew he was going to hit the wall, and he still went full-speed into that catch, AND held on to the ball, AND broke his face, AND saved the game
oh, and f*** the Mets
