I want to trademark a company name, and trademark a product name.
What is the easiest way about doing this? Thanks!

it will cost you around $3,000 to apply for the name cause of the lawyer etc.... you will have to pay him more if your description isnt good enough and the trademark place sends it back to lawyer telling him that... the RTM will only be in one country so even if u register in U.S. someone can register in Canada or Japan the same thing... FORGET about this bullshit.

... And my other option is??

nobody will steal your name and if they do they can even if you do register it if they live somewhere else youd have to register the trademark in every country .... if you want noone else to use it.... TM is for a name youv been using for a long period of time you dont go to register TM only (R) and you will waste your time lawyer will rip you off and you wont prevent shit and after a few years you will ahve to renew it....its to much $$$$$$$$$$$$$ and pointless

That's why you consult an IP attorney, they'll tell you if/why it's beneficial to register in multiple countries based on your product/company's territoriality.
