No idea. I use telewest and have no complaints.

Because it is sold by a set of cunts.

really depends what you need...
TV/phone and 4mb broadband altogether down your phone line at a good bundle price around £17/mth (plus line rental): Homechoice
Just broadband with good service, good prices and up to 8 static IP addresses: http://www.zen.co.uk
a business package with 8mb down/512k up and fixed IP: Bulldog
a good reference:

Do not. I repeat. DO NOT consider Bulldog.
I'm using telewest, a bit pricey when you compare the packages (tv, phone and 10 meg line) for £50 a month, but it's reliable, the telly replay service is excellent and it's pretty speedy so I have no complaints. I reckon you are going to see a few good deals over the next couple of months due to TalkBack's new plan though. It might be worth shopping around.

Been with Telewest for a few years and I can't fault them.

I've been with BT since broadband came about in the UK. I even managed to swindle them into giving me it for free for a whole year. I'm only with them as the other companies i've been with blame BT for all their problems. They aren't cheap, but then I've never, ever (touch wood) had any problems.
